Freelance for Cocoon

Way back last summer, when I did New Designers, I met a lovely lady who was in the beginnings of a new business start-up. She was looking for fresh, young new design talent to create limited edition textile art. I submitted some freelance work and viola, my design is now available from Cocoon Fabric Art. Paris next week!

I’m off to Paris this time next week! I will be exhibiting my degree show collection, 'Mapping Nature' at L’Aiguille en Fete after the organisers selected my work from New Designers.

So I packed up and sent off four boxes of goodies to the UK based organiser earlier this month and they are being transported to Paris where we will hopefully be reunited next Wednesday!! I will then spend the Wednesday setting up my space with the exhibition opening to the public next Thursday 9^th until Sunday 12^th February.

I am told the event is similar to the Knitting & Stitching Show, which we have here in the UK. London Property Makeover

I am now listed on this website London Property Makeover. Take a nosy at this London-based interior designer who spotted my work at New Designers. She sent an email explaining that her own website was undergoing a makeover and she was hoping to have a retail section and ‘hot new designers’ section to her website. I jumped at the chance and sent her some fabric swatches for my degree show collection, ‘Mapping Nature’. She came back asking if I was able to make cushions using similar ideas. I sent some samples which she loved! (YAY!) I’m in the process of creating some more designs and the retail section should go live in the next month. I’ll keep you posted.
